Raging Grannies & Yoriko Kishimoto Busycle to Ask for End to Wars for Oil

Our Busycle ride yesterday on the first day of Spring with the world famous Raging Grannies rewarded us with several surprises. We didn't go far, we were with a bunch of colorf ul and spirited grannies who were in demand at several other events on this day, but it was festive and fun. As for surprises. former Palo Alto Mayor and State Assembly candidate, Yoriko Kishimoto, came by on her bike to help us honor the 7th anniversary of the start of the Iraq War for Oil.

And actor John E Cabrera came on his bike too!! John E told us that he made a resolution to replace as many car trips as he can now that his car has hit the 100,000 mile mark. As such, he figured out a way to bring his chicken and new leprechaun friend on the bike you see him pictured on with Grannie Denley Rafferty below.

The world's first teenage professional bus driver, David Lageschulte, even came by with his two young girls to be a part of the fun. David who started being responsible for people's livelihoods, and other important schedules they had to keep, as well as their lives, at the tender age of 19, is now 25 years later, a much respected supervisor for the Valley Transit Authority. It was David who drove the Rock Star bus that will support our SF to Boston ride that begins in 52 days from Mountain View to its present location on Park Avenue in Palo Alto at Park Automotive Service.

Here is the song that the Grannies had us belting out as we pedaled and motorists stopped and gawked and took pictures.
