comments: Anybody know about the hostel in Monterey?? Also showers can be had where the surfers shower. Along West Cliff Drive if you head the a mile north from the boardwalk. Ask the surfers as they are hidden from the road built into the ocean cliffs. Showers can also be had at 7th and the ocean intersection as well as at Newbrighten Beach (Park Ave at the freeway) and Seacliff Beach (next freeway exit headed south on State Park Dr).
