This impressive building is Holy Rosary church built for the Italian Catholics in Indianapolis. It was completed in 1925 at a cost of $50,000.

Less than half a mile away, also in Fountain Square, is St Patricks church, built for the Irish Catholic ctty.

The German Catholics of St. Mary’s, under a mile away, the Italian Catholics from this post and Irish Catholics of St Patricks, did not at all mix. Whoaaaa……!!!!!!

“Our ancestors actually built the basement and foundation between 1909-1911. Mass was held below ground in the basement. With Monsignor Priori’s great leadership and all of our relatives working on the project the above ground portion you see was completed by 1925. People should come by and see the major renovation we had done on the courtyard. Beautiful!”
