St. John’s Church , 1871 Indianapolis

Built in 1871, St John’s Church is on Capitol Ave, a block and a half from the Indiana State Capitol. According to Father Rick, pictured here, the German, Italian and Irish communities built this together, before they went off and built their own churches not too far away. The rectory behind him built in 1863, served as the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Bishop’s residence until 1892.
