Record Irish Heat

Three days ago, I rode in bIke shorts and a t-shirt for the first time here in well over a year. I did the same thing yesterday and today and it is predicted that I can tomorrow and maybe even Tuesday as well. As temperature records are being set (the high 70’s), I am living it up in, of all places, in Ireland’s great outdoors. And  under BLUE SKIES no less!

Just as the farmers here are making hay while the sun shines (above photo), I am rolling the miles on my S&B recumbent, walking Cayo (in his new umbrella covered buggy), eating meals in our garden and even planting new trees and shrubs wirh Virginia  to replace the ones killed by the 2010 winter.

The above said, I am stockpiling the photos for when all returns to normal here, and the clouds return to  push the  thermometer   back down to between 50 – 60 degrees. And that means back  home when most  everyone is roasting, the Irish people will  be   spending their time in what usually feels like a giant air conditioner, complete with regular doses of mist (rain). Or said another way,  I am going to make the most out of the warmth they are enjoying here before I soon put my nose back to the Greenway  grindstone.
