These Irish roads, as I keep saying, that are so hard on my bikes, turned the simple rim true & steer tube straighten job that Pawel thought he was doing into a half a day’s worth of work for him. I had asked him if he could pound out a low spot in my rim that had resulted from my trying to push my old rubber as far as I could without replacing it. Well more than the low spot, he also found ten or more little cracks on the inside of the rim that had developed from my not having enough tire to protect it.
Well after he welded the cracks, he dug out the metal piece he had needed to roll my rim back into perfect circle after having welded a gusset to the inside of it a year and a half ago. This time he used it as a guide for the gas torch and the special hammers he used to pull out the low spot.

If that was not enough he also reopened the gap last winter’s pothole crash had minimized. In other words, thx to his making clever use of his press, I once again have three inches between the wheels instead of a quarter of an inch.
I can’t say enough that this guy is M A G I C. And the Eagle still flys in Ireland because of him.
Thx so much Pawel!!
