2020 Mayors’ Ride to Indianapolis Bicentennial to End on Epic Bridge

Our 2020 National Mayors’ Ride from Washington DC, San Francisco and the 17 major cities in between will end here at White River State Park in Indianapolis for its Bicentennial on this much storied bridge/esplanade.

An 1870 construction, it was rebuilt in 1902 to replace the adjacent 1834 wood covered bridge that first put Indianapolis on the world stage. A part of the National Road, it was here that California gold rush seekers and the wagon trains of the Mormon and Oregon trails crossed over the 300 foot wide White River.

On Sunday, September 27, it will all come alive with live music, food, exhibitions, speakers and vendor booths, etc.

Entertainers/Speakers to date:
World-class unicyclist,  Eddie Moffat, world-class trick cyclist, Ines Brunn, Mr. Greenway and Distinguished Hoosier award winner, Ray R Irvin, revered state historian, Brigette Cook Jones, legendary HiWheel cyclist and fastest penny farthing TransAm record holder, Steve Stevens, widely celebrated manufacturer of fastest production bike to cross America, Timothy R. Brummer and Indianapolis history prodigy  Jordan Blaire
