One of our speakers, Steve Stevens, who is staying at the beautiful Hallmark Inn , in downtown Davis, a few hundred steps from the train station, is coming out from his fully sustainable home in Golden, CO powered only by the sun. While his legendary crossing of America on a HiWheel bike was done so with his own leg power, he’ll be coming to our festival in a vehicle fueled only by the rays generated by our brightest star!!
Mr Greenway, Ray Irvin, who is coming from Florida to speak at our Davis NBG Fest has been doing a lot of sailing in the Atlantic of late.

Here is the review ‘BentRider Online did of the Lightning Phantom that we are raffling off as a part of our Davis NBG Fest here soon on October 22. You don’t need to be present to win this beautiful machine that Whole Foods Davis is featuring for us. Go here http://BikeRoute.com/raffle
Sacramento Bike Party happens this Friday night. NBG Graphic Designer, Eric Warp, might even show up on his Lightning P38, the big brother to the Lighting Phantom that we are raffling off. And as you’ve seen me say before, his is the fasted production bike made in the world (5 days, 1 hour across America).
I will be there on my light festooned Advanta recumbent passing out handouts for our Oct 22 Davis NBG Fest!
Bob Beaudry, my childhood best friend and one of the stars of the autobiographical story of my rehabilitation from a long coma, clinical death and paralysis, may be at our Davis NBG Fest on Saturday Oct 22. Telling me I used to throw the best parties, he’s trying to get someone to take over the SF to Kauia run he does on that day just so he can attend! Hmm, maybe I can get him to come the night before when I do a commemorative book signing for “Awake Again, all the Way Back from Head Injury” at the Avid Reader here in Davis.
When we were in college together, Bob flew me and our dates from the Hayward airport to the Nut Tree restaurant at the Vacaville, CA airport. Probably 100 aeronautical miles, the Nut Tree, once a regionally famous eatery is gone, but the airport is still there!
